The Inner Wheel District 328 will launch a three-day programme on Thursday to mark the centennial celebration of the international voluntary organisation.

The highlight of the event, to be held at Hotel Radisson Blu, is the presence of International Inner Wheel President Trish Douglas and Constitution Chairman Sissel H Michelsen, according to a press release from the hosts on Wednesday.

District Chairman Shahina Rafiq is leading the charge alongside a dedicated team, including 100 Years Celebration Convenor Nazneen Mahbub, and Co-convenors Nahid Nawaz, Nayar Islam, and Naz Afrin, said the release.

The celebration promises a three-day extravaganza filled with a diverse array of colourful events, adding a touch of glamour and excitement to the occasion.

Participants from various Inner Wheel clubs, District-328 EC members, and dignitaries are expected to join in the festivities, making it a truly collaborative and memorable experience.

The celebration aims not only to revel in the achievements of the past century but also to set the stage for continued contributions to social development and humanitarian causes, said the press release.

The centennial festivities symbolize not just a moment in time but a testament to the enduring spirit and impact of Inner Wheel in Bangladesh.

The Inner Wheel is an international women's voluntary service organisation founded in 1924 by Margarette Golding, the wife of a Manchester Rotarian, England.

It began as an informal ladies' group associated with Rotary International. Over time, it evolved into a separate organisation with its own structure and objectives.

Inner Wheel clubs worldwide focus on friendship, personal service, and fostering international understanding.

The organisation engages in various charitable and community service projects, contributing to social development and humanitarian causes.

In Bangladesh, first Inner Wheel District is 328 formed in 1985. There are 60 dynamic clubs in District 328.
