Bangladesh has kicked off a vaccination drive across the country with a target to inoculate 30,00,000 Qawmi madrasa students.

The inauguration of the vaccination drive started in the capital's Mirpur Jamia Siddiquia Noorani Women's Madrasa on Sunday morning.

The board has also fixed the centre, he added.

Additional Director General of the Health Department Mirzadi Sebrina and Member Secretary of the Corona Vaccination Committee of the Department Dr Shamsul Haque along with senior officials of the Health Department and Dhaka Civil Surgeon were present at the occasion.

Earlier on Saturday, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said that the government will start vaccinating the floating people. Floating people inside and outside of Dhaka will get modern Covid vaccines.
