The installation of railway track on the country’s first-ever metro viaduct is progressing in full swing. In these photographs taken Wednesday afternoon, workers, technicians, engineers and others concerned are seen working on the viaduct in Mirpur’s Shewrapara area of the capital on the project’s first phase from Uttara to Agargaon.
Road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader on April 22 said that the overall progress of the first metro rail project in Bangladesh was 61.49 per cent and it was 83.52 per cent for the Uttara to Agargaon area.
The minister also said that the combined headway of electrical and mechanical system and collecting railing stock depo equipment progress was 52.22 per cent.
