The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh said on Tuesday that flights on international routes would remain suspended until May 5.
However, considering the expatriate workers, special flights to eight countries would continue.
CAAB Chairman Air Vice-Marshal M Mafidur Rahman confirmed the matter on Tuesday night.
He said that they were still discussing flight openings.
Earlier, it was decided that all flights would remain suspended until April 28.
As the situation of Covid-19 infection has deteriorated the government put the country under lockdown since April 5.
The lockdown measures were revised and extended several times.
The domestic and international flights remained suspended since mid-April.
However, special flights were arranged for eight countries to facilitate the travel of Bangladeshi migrants and others while domestic flights also resumed for few destinations on a limited scale earlier this week.
State minister for public administration Farhad Hossain on Monday said lockdown would be extended until May 5, though no official order was issued in this regard so far.
