The Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Ltd (BSCCL) said customers may get slower internet speed or disruption in the service on March 2 from 7am to 7pm, due to cable repair work on the country's first submarine (SEA-ME-WE 4).

Issuing a press release in this regard on Wednesday night, the BSCCL sincerely apologised for causing temporary inconvenience to the customer.

The consortium maintenance work will resume at the Singapore end of Bangladesh's first submarine cable system established in Cox's Bazar. As a result, the circuits connected through (SEA-ME-WE-4) cable will be partially or completely closed for around 12 hours on March 2.

However, the circuits connected through the second submarine (SEA-ME-WE-5) cable installed at Kuakata will remain operative as usual.
