IPDC MD Mominul Islam resigns

Managing Director and CEO of IPDC Finance Md Mominul Islam decided to resign from the company's managing director post.

He confirmed The Business Post about the resignation on Wednesday night.

Mominul Islam said, ''I have decided that I will resign from the post of managing director of IPDC Finance because I have been working as a managing director for the fourth term. I decided that I would not renew this position.''

He said, "The tenure of my role as a managing director ends on January 3rd."

"The board of Directors were very supportive, and during my tenure, the company has seen positive growth," he added.

He joined IPDC Finance as a head of operations in 2006. Then he was appointed as a managing director in 2012.

From 2020 to 2022, Mominul was the chairman of Bangladesh Leasing and Finance Companies Association. He is an executive committee member of Bangladesh Association of Publicly Listed Companies. He is also chairman of the Association of the Development Financial Institutions in Asia and Pacific.

Before joining IPDC, Islam garnered experience at institutions such as the American Express Bank and Standard Chartered Bank in Bangladesh and abroad.
