On the occasion of 50 years of victory, IUB Alumni honoured five heroic freedom fighters in a ceremony in Dhaka on Saturday.
Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) Alumni hosted “50 years of victory” ceremony at Bashundhara R/A in Dhaka, said a press release.
“In order to pay homage to those who gave us freedom in the liberation war in 1971, we have to learn about the war of liberation,” said Fisheries and Livestock Minister S M Rezaul Karim while speaking as the chief guest of the ceremony.
State Minister Nasrul Hamid, IUB BoT Chair Abdul Hai Sarker, IUB Vice Chancellor Tanweer Hasan, Awami League's Cultural Affairs Secretary Ashim Kumar Ukil, CIU BoT Chair Tawhid Samad, IUB alumni Sanjib Islam, among others, were present in the ceremony.
