Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar has urged all to work together for establishing Smart Bangladesh by 2041.
“I urge all to work collectively to build Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s ‘Sonar Bangla’ through establishing Smart Bangladesh, announced by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, by 2041,” he said.
The minister was speaking as the chief guest at a discussion and a cultural programme organised by the Posts and Telecommunications Division at the GPO auditorium on Sunday.
The function was arranged on the occasion of the 103rd birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation and the National Children’s Day-2023 and Independence Day, read a press release.
With Posts and Telecommunications Secretary Abu Hena Morshed Zaman in the chair, the programme was attended, among others, by Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) Chairman Shyam Sunder Sikder and Chairman of Bangladesh Communication Satellite Company Limited (BCSCL) Dr Shahjahan Mahmood as special guests, the release added.
