Journalist dies from Covid-19 in Cox’s Bazar

Cox's Bazar, Jun 7 (UNB)-Local journalist Abdul Monayem Khan of Cox's Bazar died from coronavirus at Chattogram Medical College Hospital on Sunday.

The 54-year old was the district correspondent of Financial Express, Daily Sun and the advertising representative of Dainik Kaler Kantha.

He was diagnosed with coronavirus on May 31, according to family sources. Later, he was admitted to Ukhiya corona isolation centre on June 1. As his condition deteriorated, he was taken to the CMCH on June 3. Later, the journalist was shifted to the ICU unit of the hospital where he died around 2:30pm today.

Cox's Bazar Journalist Union expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Monayem Khan.
