Journalist Main Uddin Ahmed (Selim) passed away on Monday in New York, USA.
He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Jamaica Hospital, said his son Reaz Ahmed on his Facebook post.
He was born in Bhimpur village of Chatkhil upazila in Noakhali district.
During his long career in journalism field, he worked for The Bangladesh Observer as an Editing Assistant. He served The Morning Sun as A Sub-Editor, The New Nation as a Sub-Editor, International Desk-in-Charge, Metropolitan Desk-in-Charge, and Central Desk-in-Charge in The Independent.
Main Uddin Ahmed was also the Editor of online news portal--englishnewsbd.com.
