Police have recovered the body of a district correspondent of daily Amader Notun Shomoy after he went missing for five days in Kushtia district.
The body of Hasibur Rahman Rubel, 31, was recovered from under a bridge in Kumarkhali upazila of the district.
Kumarkhali police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kamruzzaman Talukder confirmed the matter to The Business Post.
“Family members have identified the body and it will be soon sent to the morgue for autopsy,” said the OC.
Rubel was the general secretary of Kushtia District Reporters Club and an acting editor of the local daily Kushtia Khabar.
