Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury emphasised the significant role of Joyeeta in fostering self-reliant entrepreneurs through the marketing of domestic products during a meeting on Wednesday.
Speaking at the “Joyeeta Foundation Activities” meeting at Joyeeta Tower in the capital, Dr Chaudhury highlighted the importance of prioritising the marketing of local products and urged for a detailed list of products that Joyeeta entrepreneurs can supply.
"Marketing of domestic products should be given priority in this regard," she stated.
State Minister of Women and Children Affairs, Simin Hossain Rimi, presided over the program. Dr Chaudhury also called on businesspeople to take the initiative in selling cluster-based products and services at Joyeeta Tower.
The current government is making relentless efforts to empower women economically. Every woman entrepreneur in the country should strive to become the best entrepreneur, she added.
She also noted that women should aim for self-reliance through integrated business ventures such as departmental stores, frozen food, tailoring, and fresh vegetable sales.
"Unsecured loans are provided to Joyeeta's entrepreneurs from Bangladesh Bank. Women entrepreneurs can use this opportunity to advance themselves," Dr Chaudhury concluded.
