A student of Jahangirnagar University was found dead at the house she was renting in the Ambagan area, adjacent to the university, on Friday night.

The deceased was identified as Kazi Samita Ashka alias Neha, of Satkhira district.
Nafis Iqbal, Samita's friend, along with his friends went to her house and found the door locked from inside around 9pm last night upon getting no word from her.
Later, breaking the door, they went into her room and found her body hanging from the ceiling.
They took her to the university medical centre but the doctors referred her to Savar Enam Medical College and Hospital.
When she was taken there, the on-duty doctor declared Samita dead.
