Keya Cosmetics owner, family acquitted of ACC case

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Wednesday acquitted Abdul Khaleq Pathan, owner of Keya Cosmetics, and his family members in a money laundering case as the allegation was not proved.

Md Shamsul Alam, deputy director of the ACC investigated the case.

According to ACC sources, a case was filed in 2017 against Abdul Khaleq Pathan, managing director of Keya Yarn Mills Ltd and other family members, accusing them of embezzling more than Tk 111 crore from Bangladesh Krishi Bank.

However, during the investigation of the case, the company deposited all the money mentioned in the case in bank. In this context, the ACC submitted the final report of the case and the court of Senior Special Judge KM Imrul Kayesh accepted the report on September 19.
