Eleven more Covid-19 patients died in the past 24 hours at Khulna Medical College and Hospital on Friday, according to hospital authorities.
"Of the deceased, eight were Covid-19 positive and the remaining died with Covid-like-symptoms," said Dr Suhas Ranjan Haldar, resident physician of Khulna Medical College and Hospital (KMCH).
With 41 fresh cases, a total of 155 people are currently undergoing Covid treatment at the hospital.
Dr Mehedi Newaz, KMCH vice-principal said, 488 samples were tested in the hospital's PCR lab on Friday where 171 people were identified as Covid positive.
Of the infected, 149 were from Khulna district.
