KOICA launches ‘vision centre’ at Dhaka EPZ Hospital

Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) has set up “KOICA Vision Centre” at the Dhaka EPZ Hospital to provide free eye care services to the workers of Export Processing Zones Authority.

Visiting the Dhaka EPZ on Thursday, Ambassador of the South Korea to Bangladesh Lee Jang-keun along with Executive Chairman of Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman inaugurated the centre, said a press release.

The South Korean Envoy along with BEPZA Chief also visited Korean garment manufacturing company Youngone Hi-tech Sportswear Ind. Ltd and cap manufacturing company, Dhakarea Ltd.

The Envoy expressed satisfaction on the overall production oriented peaceful environment prevailing at EPZ and the role of BEPZA in economic development of Bangladesh.

Welcoming the Ambassador at Dhaka EPZ, Abul Kalam said that “We always give priority to the business-related issues of South Korean investors to run their business smoothly in EPZ.”

The BEPZA Chief also sought more South Korean investment in the EPZs and BEPZA Economic Zone.

The Ambassador assured BEPZA for providing best support to increase South Korean investment in EPZs and BEPZA economic zones.

General Manager (Dhaka EPZ) Md Abdus Sobhan was also present there, among others.
