The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs on Thursday approved a proposal to appoint the Korea Expressway Corporation as service provider for collecting tolls, operating the Intelligent Transport System and expressway operation and maintenance of the Dhaka-Mawa-Bhanga expressway.
The approval came from the 23th meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs held virtually with Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal in the chair.
Briefing the reporters virtually after the meeting, Mustafa Kamal said that the meeting approved the proposal of Roads and Highways Department under Road Transport and Highways Division for appointing the KEC as service provider for collecting tolls, operating the ITS and expressway, and maintenance of the Dhaka-Mawa-Bhanga expressway.
