Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Land ASM Saleh Ahmed on Sunday said implementation of an action plan to ensure modern and people-friendly land management in the next two years is in progress.
He revealed this while addressing the opening ceremony of the 40-day long 136th survey and settlement training course, organized by the Land Records and Survey Department, in the auditorium of Karim Jute Mills Ltd in the city’s Demra, said a press release.
The senior secretary said a "Land Service Hotline 16122" has already been launched to this end.
He expressed the hope that the officials will be able to play a positive role in building a society free from corruption and public suffering.
In addition, they would also solve land-related disputes with the knowledge gained through training in land management.
With Director General of Land Record and Survey Department Anis Mahmud in the chair, Additional Secretaries of Land Ministry Md Maniruzzaman and Md Abu Bakr Siddik, Chairman of Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation Farooq Ahmed and Director of Department Md Mominur Rashid also spoke on the occasion.
Some 67 officers of BCS (Administration), BCS (Police), BCS (Forest) and Bangladesh Judicial Service are participating in this training programme.
