With the theme, “Smart Land Service, Smart Citizens, the week-long Land Service Week-2024” inaugural ceremony was held at the Collectorate building premises in the city on Saturday.
Additional Divisional Commissioner (revenue) Md Firoz Shah inaugurated the event as chief guest while Khulna deputy commissioner Khondokar Yasir Arefin, additional divisional commissioner (revenue) Mukul Kumar Maitra, additional superintendent of Police Sushanta Sarkar, among others, were present, reports BSS.
Thanking Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for making Bangladesh Digital and Smart, the chief guest said that the people are now getting benefits from online-based land services due to the digitalisation of the country.
Mentioning that government officials at the grassroots level have been working for the well-being of the common people he said, adding that people are now giving land development tax through digital systems without any harassment and bribes.
The Land Service Week-2024 will continue till June 14 at the collectorate building premises alongside all land office premises in the upazila where land service seekers will pay land tax and other government revenue online after registration.
People will also get more services during the campaign at the land office premises including receiving cheques from mitigated land requisition. The services include E-Namjari, Certified Copies of Khatian, Parcha and other land-related services.
Later, the chief guest distributed e-parcha, e-mutation and Land accusation checks among the people.
With a view to providing the service of collecting the payment of land development tax online, online registration, e-registration application, and other land-related services will be provided in the land service week.
