A discussion programme has been held commemorating the late Kazi Akram Hossain, former president of Bangladesh Chhatra Union and a prominent student leader in the 1970s, to mark his 24th death anniversary.
The event was held at the RC Majumdar Auditorium on Wednesday.
Two books – Kazi Akram Smarak Grantha and Kazi Akram Hossain Rachana Somogro – were unveiled at the programme.
Unique Group Managing Director Mohd Noor Ali, The Business Post Acting Editor Dr Khondaker Showkat Hossain, Mujahidul Islam Salim – political comrade of late Kazi Akram Hossain, MM Akash, Mrinal Sarkar, Bibhuranjan Sarkar, Aktari Momtaz Sylvi, Mohammad Hannan, Syed Azizul Haque Masum, many former student leaders, activists, and well-wishers were present there.
Saima Jahan Papri, wife of late Kazi Akram Hossain, presided over the function.
