Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque and his wife Laila Arjumand Banu have been diagnosed with Covid-19 on Friday (June 12). Besides, Habibur Rahman, private Secretary to the minister, has also been infected by the virus.
Sufi Abdullahil Maruf, senior information officer of the ministry, confirmed the information, saying the minister's wife Layla Arjumandu Banu and personal secretary Habibur Rahman too tested positive.
“As they developed symptoms similar to that of coronavirus, they took coronavirus tests on Thursday. The test results came out positive,” he said.
Currently, they are being treated at their residences. "Minister Mozammel requested everyone to pray for the swift recovery of coronavirus patients," he added.
