Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque has returned home from the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in the capital after recovering from Covid-19.
His wife Laila Arjumand Banu is still undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Advocate Reena Parveen, chairman of Gazipur Sadar Upazila Parishad and also the niece of the minister, confirmed the matter to the Business Post, adding that Mozammel Haque returned home Sunday night from the hospital.
Parveen said although the minister's latest test results came out negative, his wife is still admitted to the CMH and being treated with plasma therapy.
Earlier on June 13, Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque and his wife Laila Arjumand Banu were admitted to the CMH after testing Covid-19 positive the day earlier.
Private secretary (PS) to the minister Habibur Rahman and public relations officer of the ministry Sufi Abdullah Maruf were also diagnosed with the infection.
