Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Saturday predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours.
"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at isolated places over the country,” said a met office bulletin.
Day temperature may fall 1-2 degrees Celsius and night temperature may fall slightly over the country, it added.
The highest temperature Friday was recorded 36.8 degrees Celsius at Tetulia in Rangpur division while Saturday's minimum temperature was 23.4 degrees Celsius at Tangail.
Maximum rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6:00am Saturday was recorded 140 millimetres (mm) at Teknaf in Chattogram division.
The sun sets at 6:38pm Saturday and rises at 5:31am Sunday in the capital.
