Bangladesh Metrological Department today predicted that light to moderate rain accompanied with thundershowers is likely to occur at most places over the country as monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over north bay.
"Light to moderate rain with thundershowers is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur division; at many places over Mymensingh, Sylhet and Chattogram divisions; at a few places over Dhaka, Khulna, Rajshahi and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to heavy rainfalls at places all over the country," said a press release on Thursday.
Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country, added the release.
The maximum temperature was recorded on Wednesday 33.4 degree Celsius at Tetulia and the minimum temperature today was recorded 25.0 degree Celsius jointly at Nikli, Netrakona, Rangamati, Kutubdia and Teknaf.
Maximum rainfall was recorded in the last twenty-four hours till 6 am 65 millimetres (mm) at Dimla.
