The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across the central part of Bangladesh. One of its associated troughs extends up to North Bay. Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.
The country’s maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded at 35.7 degrees Celsius at Chandpur and the minimum temperature on Wednesday was 24.4 degrees Celsius at Srimangal.
Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6:00am was recorded 59 millimetres (mm) at Netrokona.
