Bangladesh Meteorological Department Friday forecasted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at many places across the country in the next 24 hours.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at some places over the country in 24-hour till 9:00am tomorrow,” said a met office bulletin.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin added.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6:00am Friday was recorded 71 mm at Chandpur in Chattogram division.
Country’s maximum temperature Thursday was recorded 36.5 degrees Celsius at Sayedpur in Rangpur division and minimum temperature Friday was 23.2 degrees Celsius at Gopalgonj in Dhaka division.
Friday’s sunset at 6.38pm and Saturday’s sunrise at 5.30am at Dhaka.
