Light to moderate rain, thundershowers likely

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Wednesday (July 29) forecast rain or thundershowers in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing 6 pm.

“Light to moderate rain/thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Mymensingh & Sylhet divisions; at many places over Rajshahi, Dhaka & Chattogram divisions and at a few places over Khulna & Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country,” said a Met office bulletin.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, said the bulletin,

Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and weak to moderate over North Bay.

The highest temperature was recorded today 33.3 degrees Celsius at Sitakunda and minimum temperature 24.7 degrees Celsius at Tetulia in Panchagarh.

The will sun set at 6:42 pm on Thursday and will rise at 5:27 am on Friday in Dhaka.

Besides, the highest rainfall was recorded 113m in Sylhet.
