Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Friday forecasted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at many places across the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9:00am Friday.
"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi and Khulna divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country in 24-hour till 9:00am tomorrow," said a Met office (BMD) bulletin issued this morning.
Day temperature may fall 1-2 degrees Celsius and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin added.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours till 6:am Friday was recorded 63mm at Barishal in Barishal division.
The country's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded at 35.0 degrees Celsius at Mongla in Khulna division and the minimum temperature of Friday was 25.0 degrees Celsius at Mongla in Khulna division and Feni and Kutubdia in Chattogram division respectively.
The sun will set on Friday at 6.33pm and the sunrise of Saturday will be at 5.33am in Dhaka.
