The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs has published a list of another 118 martyred intellectuals on Sunday. So far, the government has published the list of 560 martyred intellectuals.
Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque released the list under the 4th phase at a press conference. This list is comprised of teachers, politicians, social workers, doctors, lawyers, employees, engineers, playwrights, singers, cultural personalities.
Back on April 7, 2021, the liberation war affairs ministry had published the names of 191 martyred intellectuals in a gazette for the first time. On May 29, 2022, the second list of 143, and lastly on February 15, the list of another 108 martyred intellectuals was published.
The fourth phase list of martyred intellectuals consist of 3 writers, a scientist, a painter, 54 teachers, 4 lawyers, 13 doctors, 3 engineers, 8 government and private employees, 9 politicians, 13 social workers.
Apart from this, nine persons associated with cultural activities, cinema, drama, music and art have been included in this list.
