Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim has urged to keep up the production in the livestock sector even during the ongoing global crisis.
The minister made this call to the livestock sector stakeholders while delivering the chief guest’s speech at a workshop at the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh Auditorium in the capital on Wednesday.
The workshop regarding producer group activation and livestock farmer field school management was organised under the Livestock and Dairy Development (LDDP) project implemented by the Directorate of Livestock.
“The stagnation prevailing all over the world due to the terrible crisis of Coronavirus and the subsequent Ukraine-Russia war should not disrupt the indomitable and courageous march of Bangladesh,” the minister said.
“The production of the livestock sector cannot be disrupted in any way during the global crisis,” he emphasised.
The sustainable development of this sector should be worked on, Rezaul Karim also said.
