At least five were killed and two sustained injuries in a road accident in Shibchar, Madaripur on Saturday.
The accident took place near the toll plaza of Arial Khan Bridge around 9:00pm.
The deceased were Khalil, 65, Mostafa Sikder, 52, Rokeya Begum, 45, Litu Sarif, 50, Mozammel Hossain, 55.
Confirming the matter, Shibchar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Miraj Hossain said one of the deceased was a passenger of a car and the others were pedestrians.
