Businessman Mahbub Jamil, who had served as the special assistant to the chief adviser of a caretaker government, passed away at Evercare Hospital in the capital.
Jamil passed away at the hospital around 2:40am on Wednesday, his son Rubayet Jamil confirmed the matter.
Mahbub Jamil's namaz-e-janaza will be held at Azad Mosque in Gulshan, after Zuhr prayer. He will be buried at Banani graveyard.
Mahbub obtained his Master's Degree in Sociology and Journalism from Dhaka University.
In his career, he won the Sir Jagadish Chandra Gold Medal in Business Management in 1984 and the Bangladesh Education Management Trust Gold Medal in 1995 for Management Excellence.
