Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) President Mahbubul Alam has submitted his nomination paper as the panel leader in the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) election.
Mahbubul, also a former vice-president of the FBCCI, submitted the nomination form to the Election Board Chairman A Matin Chowdhury and its members Shamsul Alam and KMN Manjurul Haque on Saturday, read a press release.
FBCCI President Md Jashim Uddin, Senior Vice-President Mostofa Azad Chowdhury Babu, vice-presidents MA Momen, Md Amin Helaly, Md Habib Ullah Dawn, and MA Razzak Khan, former senior vice-president Md Ali, former vice-president Helal Uddin, and Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) President Faruque Hassan were present on the occasion among other business leaders.
The biennial election of the apex trade body will be held on July 31.
Earlier, former presidents of the FBCCI extended their support to Mahbubul Alam in his bid for the new chief of the apex trade body for the 2023-25 tenure.
