A Cox’s Bazar court has granted a 4-day remand of seven police members, including Pradeep Kumar Das, over the killing of Major (retd) Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan.
Tamanna Farah, Judge of Senior Judicial Magistrate Court-3, Teknaf, granted the remand on Monday (August 24) after RAB (Rapid Action Battalion) produced them before the court with a 7-day remand plea.
Earlier, on 6 August, a Cox’s Bazar court remanded three police officers, Officer-in-Charge Pradeep Kumar Das, Inspector Liaqat Ali and Sub-Inspector Nandadulal Rakhshit on a 7-day remand.
On August 12, a Cox's Bazar court placed seven individuals, including four policemen, on 7-day remand each.
Sinha was killed in police firing on Cox's Bazar Marine Drive on July 31.
