Police have arrested a man with cannabis plants from a vegetable field in Narail.
The arrestee is Abul Hasnat Waseem (45) of Mulshree village of the district. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Noragati Police Station Sukanta Saha confirmed the arrest on Saturday.
Acting on a tip-off, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Jahangir Hossain along with his team conducted the operation at Mulshree village on Friday evening, made the arrest and seized five cannabis plants, said the OC.
A case was filed against Waseem with Noragati Police Station under the Narcotics Control Act, and he was presented to the court on Saturday morning, the police official added.
