A 43-year old man-- who was suffering from Covid-19 alike symptoms for the last week-- died while waiting in line to provide a sample for Covid-19 test at a hospital in Brahmanbaria.
The deceased was identified as Iqbal Hossain, 43, son of Shahidul Islam of Brahmanbaria Sadar upazila.
The incident took place around 8:45 am on Wednesday at Brahmanbaria General Hospital’s Bangladesh Medical Association building premises, confirmed Dr Solaiman Miah, on-duty doctor of the emergency department of the hospital.
He said: “Iqbal was waiting in line to provide the sample for a Covid-19 test at the BMA building where he suddenly fainted and fell to the ground. We took him and rushed him to the hospital’s emergency department, where he was declared dead.”
According to Iqbal’s relatives, Iqbal had been unwell for the last one week, and he was suffering from Covid-19 alike symptoms.
