A man has gone missing as a bulkhead vessel hit a trawler in the Rupsha River in Khulna.
The missing man was Mahtab Uddin, a worker of the trawler.
Monsur, a sub-inspector (SI) of the Rupsha Naval outpost, said the Hiron point-bound trawler capsized with seven passengers on board as a bulkhead vessel hit it near the Rupsha railway bridge around 10:00pm on Sunday.
Mahtab went missing while the other passengers managed to swim ashore.
“A rescue operation is underway,” said SI Monsur.
