A 50-year-old man was killed as a train hit him on Phulbarigate level crossing in Khulna city on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Anwar Hossain, a speech and hearing impaired man of Maheshwarpasha Banikpara area of the city.
The Khulna-bound train from Jashore hit him on the level crossing around 01:00pm while he was heading towards a shop, leaving him dead on the spot, said sub-inspector Asad of Khanjahan Ali Police Station.
On information, police recovered the body and handed it over to the family.
