A man was killed in a bike accident in Dhaka's Hatirjheel area in the early hours of Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Md Ishrak Hossain, 36, an inhabitant of Dhaka's Wari area.
The accident occurred at around 1:30am at the Hatirjheel intersection near Police Plaza when Hossain lost control as his bike skidded and he sustained a serious injury, said Hatirjheel Thana Sub-Inspector (SI) Saidur Rahman.
He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where the doctors declared him dead around 3:00am, said the DMCH Police Camp officer-in-charge (OC) Md Bacchu Mia.
The body has been kept at the DMCH morgue for autopsy, the official added.
