A man was killed when a fuel tanker truck hit his motorcycle in the capital’s Kakrail area Sunday night.
The deceased was identified as Md Shohidul Islam, 40, son of Syed Ali of Rajnagar Police Station in Moulavibazar.
“The accident took place around 2:00am, as a fuel tanker truck hit his motorcycle from behind in front of ‘Scout Bhaban’ in the capital’s Kakrail,” Paltan Thana Sub Inspector Md Jalil told BSS.
Critically injured Shohidul was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where the duty doctors declared him dead at around 3am.
DMCH police outpost Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Bachchu Mia confirmed the incident, saying that the body of the deceased has been kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy.
