A man was killed and another injured in a road accident near Kalna Madrasha on the Lohagara-Kalna-Dhaka highway in Lohagara upazila of the district last night.
The deceased was Md Rifatul Islam, 33, son of Md Belayet Shikdar, a resident of Kundashi village in Lohagara municipality.
Police said the accident occurred in the area when a passenger bus hit a motorbike, leaving its rider Rifatul dead on the spot and another one injured critically.
The injured was referred to Dhaka for better treatment.
