Bangladesh National Cricket Team former skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, MP, urged people from all strata of the society to rally round Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to build ‘Sonar Bangla’ as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working relentlessly to build ‘Sonar Bangla’ . . . it is the responsibility of all to join hands with her to take the ongoing development activities ahead,” he said while exchanging views with the people of different professions at Shilpakala Academy auditorium in Narail on Sunday.
He said most educated people are involved in corruption. Those who have been working at the grassroots sincerely for the development of the country are the real hero, he added.
“It is the responsibility of all us to build ‘Sonar Bangla’ of Bangabandhu,” he said.
Narail municipality mayor Jahangir Biswas, Lohagara municipality mayor Ashraful Alam, Awami League leader Hafez Khan Milon, district unit Chhatra League president Chanchal Shahriar Mim, and Narail Express Foundation general secretary Tariqul Islam Anik, among others, attended the programme.
