A Dhaka court on Sunday set December 22 as the deadline for the submission of a probe report in a case lodged over the murder of Islamic scholar and TV personality Mawlana Nurul Islam Faruqi.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Devdas Chandra Adhikari fixed the new date as the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) failed to submit the report on Sunday.
Nurul Islam Faruqi was murdered on August 27, 2014, at his Razabazar home in Dhaka.
Later, his son Foysal Faruqi lodged the case against eight-to-ten unidentified miscreants with Sher-E-Bangla Nagar police station.
