Mohammad Selim, Vice Chairman (VC) of Mercantile Bank Limited died of coronavirus infection at a city hospital on Friday (June 26) afternoon.
The bank's Public Relations Department chief Md Abdul Hamid Sohag confirmed the news to the media.
He said, “Mohammad Selim breathed his last around 2pm at Anwar Khan Modern Hospital.”
Mohammad Selim was also the Chairman of Synthia Securities Ltd, Bangladesh Shop Owners Association and Metropolitan Education promoters Ltd.
