Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Tuesday predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind may occur at different parts of the country in 24 hours as of 9:00am on Wednesday.

"Light to moderate rain or thundershower with temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions; at a few places over Dhaka and Khulna divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at isolated places over the country," said a met office bulletin issued here on Tuesday.

Monsoon is less active over Bangladesh and weak to moderate elsewhere over North Bay, it added.

However, the day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

Country's maximum temperature on Monday was recorded 37.2 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi and today's minimum temperature 25.0 degrees Celsius was jointly at Sitakunda, Cox's Bazar and Rangamati.
