The Uttara Centre station of the country's first-ever metro rail service was opened on Saturday morning.
With this, four stations among nine have been opened to commuters.
Dhaka Mass Transit Company Ltd (DMTCL) Managing Director MAN Siddique said the Uttara Centre station was opened without any formal event.
Like other stations, passengers can travel by metro rail from the Uttara Center station from 8:30am to 12:30pm, he said.
“We have the plan to open all stations in phases by March.”
Meanwhile, Mirpur-10 station is set to be opened on March 1.
