The metrorail will run non-stop from 8am to 5pm between the capital’s Uttara North Station and Agargaon Station on Sunday [January 22], to facilitate smooth transportation services to commuters on the day of Bishwa Ijtema Akheri Munajat.
Besides, the sale of MRT passes will remain halted from 3pm to 9pm next Sunday at the above mentioned metrorail stations. Dhaka Mass Transit Company Ltd made the announcement through an office letter on Thursday.
The second part of Bishwa Ijtema will be held from January 20 to January 22 on the bank of River Turag in Tongi.
The metrorail currently runs between these stations from 8am to 12pm, but this schedule will be revised to 8:30am to 12:30pm from January 25 this year.
