After being suspended for more than a month, Metrorail operations resumed from the city’s from Uttara on Motijheel route. The trains however will not stop at Mirpur-10 and Kazipara stations, and services in those areas will remain suspended for now.

On Sunday, two trains left for Motijheel from Uttara North Metrorail station at 7:10am and 7:20am. Only MRT pass users can travel on the trains. Single journey tickets can be purchased from 7:20am till 8:50pm.

MRT pass purchases and top-ups can be availed at designated points. Reopening of the Metrorail has brought relief to the daily commuters and city dwellers.

It should be noted that during the quota reform movement, on July 18, the police box at Mirpur-10 roundabout was set on fire. The authorities had stopped the metro rail movement at 5pm the same day.
