Mild cold wave may abate at some places

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Tuesday predicted that the ongoing mild cold wave may abate at some places in the next 24 hours commencing 9am.

"Mild cold wave is sweeping over the districts of Rajshahi, Pabna, Dinajpur, Panchagarh, Kurigram, Moulavibazar, Chuadanga and it may abate from some places," said a met office release.

Light to moderate fog may occur over the country during the early morning, it added.

The weather may remain dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky over the country.

However, the temperature may rise slightly and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

The country’s maximum temperature on Monday was recorded 31.2 degrees Celsius at
Teknaf, while the minimum temperature today was 7.6 degrees Celsius at Srimangal.

The sun sets at 5.53 pm on Tuesday and rises at 6.32 am on Wednesday in the capital.
