Mild cold wave sweeps over northern, central parts of country

Mild cold wave is sweeping over Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions and the districts of Jashore, Kushtia, Chuadanga, Tangail, Madaripur and Kishoreganj and it may continue.

Weather may remain dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, according to the weather forecast for the next 24 hours beginning from 9am Monday.

Moderate to thick fog may occur over the country from midnight to tomorrow morning and it may continue till noon at some places. Air navigation, inland river transport and road communication may be disrupted due to thick fog.

The country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 27.6 degrees Celsius at Teknaf and the minimum temperature today was recorded at 8.1 degrees Celsius jointly at Badalgachi and Dinajpur.

Night temperature may fall by 1-2 degrees Celsius and day temperature may fall slightly over the country.

The sun sets at 5:37pm Monday and rises at 6:42am Tuesday in the capital.
